Tea Time: Favourite Tea Of The Month

With the winter season in full blow down here in New Zealand, I have found myself reaching for good old Earl Grey as my tea of choice for the last few months. No doubt it will stay like this until at least the end of August when the weather starts to warm up a little again.

Tea Time: Favourite Tea Of The Month

With the weather getting warmer down here in the Southern Hemisphere and summer being only around the corner I have found myself being drawn more and more to Iced Tea. Lately my iced tea of choice has been a new product out by Lipton Ice Tea called Sparkling. It is an iced black tea with a hint of lemon.

I enjoy this tea for it's refreshing zing of lemon but with that great black tea taste. I also love the fact that it is sparkling so has that fizz of a soft drink without all the sugar and calories associated with one.

I'm pretty sure this will be go to drink when out and about and looking for a refreshing cold drink to cool off from the summer heat.

Tea Time: Favourite Tea Of The Month

For the month of September I have found myself being drawn to Twinings Raspberry & Peach Tea as my go to flavour when looking to enjoy a hot cup of fruit tea.

Twinings New Zealand's description of the tea on their website is:

Getting that frazzled feeling? Reach for this pick-me-up-cup. The tangy, jewel-like peach, blended with the juicy, sweet taste of raspberries to create an intense fruit flavour. Just lock the doors, take a sip and prepare to feel frazzle-free.

I enjoy this tea for its fruity yet not too sweet flavour and the gorgeous pink colour it has once brewed. Raspberry and peach are great at supporting each others flavours while not being overpowering of the other.

Going into October as the weather starts to warm up down here in the Southern Hemisphere and we move forward into what looks like a great summer, I look forward to seeing which teas and flavours I am drawn to to create Iced Tea versions as a refreshing way to cool off on a hot day.
